Animal Control

All dogs are required to have current City Dog Tags by an ordinance of the City of Centerton.  To obtain your City Dog Tag, present your receipt verifying a current rabies shot to the Centerton City Hall (209 N Main Street).  Prices are $5.00 if spayed / neutered and $10 if not.  You will benefit by having identification for your pet.  If your dog is found, you can easily be contact from the record of your City Dog Tag.  If your dog is picked up by Centerton Animal Control you could be subject to a $100 fine per charge, for not having a city dog tag, dog-at-large and other possible charges.  You are responsible for having your dog tagged, leashed and  vaccinated.

Foster Care

The Centerton Animal Shelter is in the need of foster families to foster young puppies we occasionally pick up until we can find a home for them.  Young puppies need a loving family environment to acquire important social skills to become a healthy adult dog.  A puppy cannot obtain these skills in a shelter and can develop antisocial behavior that can lead to the dog becoming unadoptable.  If you are interested in becoming a foster family please call 479.795.0078 or email me at centerton.animal.control@gmail.com for more information.
