Good Evening wanted to bring you up to date on 2 events coming up this month, first, I will have Coffee with the Mayor, this Saturday November 16th at 9am, here at city hall, this is an opportunity for you to learn what’s going on in your community and meet some of your elected officials, the city will provide coffee and donuts and also we will have a guest speaker, with the Northwest Arkansas Regional Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan project for all of Northwest Arkansas.
Thanks Mayor Bill Edwards
Good Evening, I wanted to post a couple of events coming up in the next couple of months, first of all Coffee with the Mayor, will be held on Saturday November 16th at 9am here at city hall, at this meeting we will have a speaker present to talk about trails in Northwest Arkansas, to include Centerton and also I will go over many projects that are coming and in the works. Then on Thursday November 28th, which is Thanksgiving Day I will be hosting the Mayor’s 1st Annual Thanksgiving Dinner from 1-3pm, here at city hall, Harp’s has provided over 200 pounds of turkey, and Jim’s Centerton inn, has donated the smoking of the turkeys, but will need help from the community on other dishes, I was thinking of a pot luck style dinner. I am doing this because when I campaigned for this position I did meet a lot of folks in need and also a lot of seniors home alone during the holidays and felt this would be a good chance for us to get together with all of our friends and neighbors for a great meal.
Next on Saturday December 7th we will have a fun filled day starting with a Christmas Bazaar at the Living Waters United Methodist Church located just up from city hall at 424 Main Street from 9am to 3pm. Then at 4:30PM we will have our annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting event, and anyone is welcome to participate in our parade there is no fee, we will light the Christmas tree in the park around 5pm, then we will have hot chocolate and cookies for everyone and also will have Santa here for the children. Then on Saturday December 14th the Centerton Fire Department will being Santa thru the neighborhoods starting at 8am,
I am looking forward to these great events and hope you can make them
Thanks Mayor Bill
