The Centerton Fire Department escorted Santa Clause around town prior to Christmas. Santa passed out candy while visiting with the children.
The Centerton Police Department participated in the 'Shop With A Cop' program. Several students from Gamble Elementary School were selected to participate.

Good Afternoon, Just wanted to go over some things for Halloween and some future events going on tomorrow and also in November. First if you choose to participate in handing out candy please turn your porch light on so the children know you are participating, when you run out of candy please turn your light off. Children should start knocking on doors as soon as it gets dark and a guideline of 9pm should be used for cutoff. Also First Baptist Church located at 351 West Centerton Blvd will be hosting a Fall Festival on Friday from 6pm until 8pm, there will be games, free food and prizes.
Also Steve’s Pit Stop located at 550 West Centerton Blvd will also be giving away candy from 6pm until 8pm, come on by and then the Centerton Fire Department located at 755 West Centerton Blvd will also be having a Open House from 6pm until 9pm and be giving away candy and also showing off the equipment on Friday night.
Next on the agenda on Friday November 7th from 5:30pm until 8:30 pm there will be a Community Greet and Meet at the Community Room at Centerton City Hall. 290 North Main Street, this will be a pot luck event so bring some food for everyone to share and come make some new friends. Then on Saturday November 8th 2 Christian Life Center located at 301 Commercial Street will be hosting a Community Event from 12 noon until 5pm, there will be Hamburgers and Hot Dogs, Smore Pit, Music, Jumpy Houses, Ladies Craft and Bake Sale and Games and Prizes for the Kids. Everyone is Welcome
Then on Saturday November 15th at 9am will be our Monthly Coffee with the Mayor, this is a great time to meet your elected officials and also meet your neighbors and learn about new things going on in your community. Coffee and Donuts will be provided.
Lastly on Thursday November 27th from 11am until 1pm at the Living Waters United Methodist Church located at 424 North Main Street will host the 2nd Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner and everyone is welcome, I will post more details as we get closer.

A position is open on the Centerton Planning Commission to serve until June 30, 2017; after which, the position may be extended for a 3-year term. The City of Centerton is accepting applications until Friday, October 24, 2014 (5:00 PM). Applicant must live within the incorporated city limits or planning area of the City of Centerton. Regular meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of each month with compensation pay of $75 per meeting. Applicants will be interviewed by the remaining members at the end of the regular meeting on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 6:00 PM; then recommended to the Mayor and City Council for appointment to the Commission. Must be present for the interview.
Good Afternoon, I just wanted to write some updates on things coming up that are important, first of all anyone wanting to vote in the General Election coming up on November 4th, you need to be registered by October 6th, you can check and see if you are registered and in gthe correct location at www.voterview.org Also I have early voting set up here in Centerton and anyone in Benton County can vote here starting October 20th at the Centerton Fire Department.
A couple of events coming up first on Saturday September 13th at 8am I am organizing a clean up of our parks, I will have folks from the Benton County Sheriff’s office clewan up the lake and walking trail and also along Highway 102, and I have a family cleaning up Griffith park on Harvest Street. If anyone wants to commit to another park please contact me, we will meet and work just a few hours to clean up any trash before winter comes.
Then on Saturday September 20th I will have my monthly “Coffee with the Mayor” and everyone is welcome at 9am, this is a chance to visit with your local elected officials and interact with them and learn about all the great things going on. I also invited Benton County Judge Bob Clinard, and Justices of the Peace Susan Anglin and Steve Curry to talk about the upcoming vote on the ambulance issue. There are 2 issues on the ballet one is a .2 mil increase for all residents of Benton County and the other is a $40.00 fee for residents in the non-incorporated parts of Benton County. Even if you don’t live in Centerton please attend so you can learn about the issues coming up on this election.
